Raised in Wisconsin's Driftless Area and later in Rockford, Illinois, he draws inspiration from his Midwestern roots and a rich tapestry of American music, including influences from Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Jerry Garcia .
Hendrickson's musical journey began in his youth, performing with his brother and writing songs on a two-string guitar.
